Legal Question in Family Law in North Carolina

My husband and I have been separated since December. We currently have no separation agreement. He has decided he wants the home that we purchased however; all of the bills attached to the house are either completely in my name, or I am the primary with him as the secondary. I cannot take my name off of anything unless he calls in and takes responsibility of the accounts. Therefore I am still paying bills in a house that I do not live in. He will not do anything that needs to be done for this. What is the best way for me to handle this to where it does not come back to bite me?
