is it against the law to receive childsupport still if the father moves back in the home?

Its not against the law. A parent has an absolute duty to support his or her child and if there is an order of support, hge or she must continue to pay as per the order.

That said, if the father moves back in to the marital home and intends to reconcile with his wife, then he needs to immediately file a petition to terminate or suspend the child support order.
