north carolina recognition of alimony awards in Georgia

if someone has been court ordered in Georgia to pay a monthly alimony amount, and moves to North Carolina, and cannot earn the same income there, does Georgia alimony laws apply in North Carolina?

NC will recognize the GA alimony award. NC cannot change a GA award. In other words, GA alimony laws apply in NC. You can seek to modify the GA award based on a change in circumstances. I may have a cheaper solution to outright retaining an attorney at this point in time.
