Legal Question in Family Law in North Carolina

I have an open case with family services...someone reported domestic violence in my home...which is untrue so I have no worries,...but the social worker went to my daughters school to question her without at least informing me..i don't mind that she spoke to her but I would have liked to know let alone would have liked to be in the next room over ...is this even legal in north Carolina?

Yes unfortunately it is legal. Also unfortunately, just because the allegation of domestic violence is untrue doesn't mean you don't have something to worry about. You should tell your child to refuse to speak to school or other officials / adults she does not know. This is difficult because children are easily fooled and love to talk but you should at least try to get her to refuse to talk to these people. Once DSS is up in your business it is incredibly difficult to get them out. Best of luck.
