Legal Question in Family Law in North Carolina

I got pregnant by someone who lives in another state. We will not be getting married nor will i be moving in with him. What financial responsibilty does he have in the raising of this child?

He is obligated to pay financial support for his child if he is the biological father until the child turns 18 or graduates from high school.
