Legal Question in Family Law in North Carolina

Before I can present you with the question, I must inform you of the situation. I have a 21 month old child who is currently in sole custody of her mother. I didn't have the chance to sign the birth certificate nor a voluntary parental rights affidavit. I was with the mother for nearly 4 years total, before she left me for someone else. She then precedes to remove the child from my life and has barred me access to my child since December 9th, 2010. I have reason to believe that my child is being forced to call another individual "daddy" and I also believe my child may be issued to PAS (Parental Alienation Syndrome). My question is: How do I obtain my parental rights and access to establish a firm and positive relationship with my daughter; when the mother doesn't want me to see her or even claim her? Thank you.

You need to hire a lawyer to help you. You need to file a lawsuit to establish paternity, and set up child support, custody and visitation.
