You will need to be legally separated for one year before you may obtain a divorce. If you and your husband are able to agree to the terms of divorce, then you may file for a no-fault divorce at the end of the separation year. Many individuals handle this type of divorce without attorneys but there is a somewhat complicated procedure that you must follow that the clerks at your county courthouse will instruct you on.
