You cannot stop the divorce. The divorce will be granted if you have been separated for 1 year or more. If you do not assert your rights to equitable distribution and alimony, they will be lost forever if you do not answer the complaint. You do not have to sign any papers if the distribution proposed is unfair, but you do have to assert your rights in the complaint to protect them. Get a divorce attorney.
