Legal Question in Family Law in North Carolina

In my state we have Absolute Divorce. I'm familiar with the filing process and of the paperwork. I filled out the papers in Sept, 29 2009, and notarized the same day, but did not file the papers with the court at that time. My question is, Can I either leave the date and file now, or white out and neatly update the date and file? Is the notarized verification still good? I won't alther Anything on the notarized form.

Just start over. Have you been separated for at least one year? Then you can file. There is going to be too many questions if you signed the papers back in September and did not file them until now.
