Legal Question in Family Law in North Carolina

Wife cheated got caught wants a separation We have a two year old. Both cars and house in her name. I don't want to separate I believe she is lying to me saying she wants space to work it out. Have seen her plan in emails. (Yes spying. I know I know). We live in North Carolina. She said she doesn't want to screw me with a separation agreement. But I feel like she's tricking me into it to get the divorce. Thoughts???

If she wants a divorce and she meets the requirements for it there isn't squat all you can legally do to prevent it. So you best bet is to protect yourself and any assets you are entitled to now and let the chips fall where they may regarding the marriage.
