However, the divorce is not the only thing to consider, what a lot of lay people think of as a 'divorce' is usually in actuality a collection of legal claims such as alimony, child custody / support, spousal support, equitable distribution, etc. with the 'divorce' (the ending of the marital union) being just a small part of it. If you wan to pursue some of those other claims, your evidence may come into play but it is irrelevant to the actual divorce aspect of things.
