Legal Question in Family Law in North Carolina

Will NC enforce a order from MI.

My son is suppose to go to NC to visit with his father and grandparents. How can i assure they will return him to MI. They have signed a affidavit as well as the visitation agreement, will NC honor those documents as well as the order from the michigan judge saying to return the child on the decided day? Or do i need to register the order in NC, and how would i do that?

You don't need to do anything at this point. If there is a problem in returning your son, your lawyer can ask your judge for a pick up order.

There is really nothing else you can do to assure his return. And yes, the Michigan order would be honored in other states, and you do not need to register anything in NC (nor could you really do that anyways).
