Legal Question in Civil Litigation in North Carolina

I was evicted from a house I had rented for 4.5 years. The landlord gave me 12 hours to remove my property or it was his property. Is there anything thing I can do to make him pay for my property he throw away and sold? I thought you have more than 1 day to get your property from the home after padlock procedure. He had to move things the day after Christmas. Most of our kids Christmas gifts were in the home that we lost. It was about 150k worth of personal property we lost including 3 cars.

Make sure you take sufficient proof of the value of the items that were taken. I am not sure how he was able to keep your vehicles...without the titles, the vehicle are not good him....
