Legal Question in Civil Litigation in North Carolina
...i was injured at somones house that i have known for over 15 years...their homeowners insurance paid $1000 of my medical bill....how do i collect the rest...since they r refusing to pay...which is $2981.00

Your only recourse at this point is a potential lawsuit. But if you signed a release with the insurance company...which is likely before they paid you...you may have waived all of your claims to any further money. Speak to a personal injury attorney if you already havent.
