I have a judgement against me for an unpaid loan. If I have a checking account, can the balance of the loan be taken out of my account?

It is "possible", but in most cases the money in your checking account is exempt (they cannot take the funds). You should talk to an attorney about all of the property that you own, in order to make sure you are not at risk.
