I am being sued for property someone gave my boyfriend brought to our home to fix, and he never returned it. How am I liable, the guy never gave me anything. It was between him and the guy not me

You may not be liable but if you are being sued, you will need to answer and defend against the complaint. If you do nothing, a default judgment could be entered against you. You may want to consult with an attorney in your area.
