Legal Question in Health Care Law in North Carolina

A doctor was fired and offered a position at another clinic. The previous contract stated he couldn't work within a 3-mile radius. Since he was terminated is his contract still binding? He spoke with 2 attorneys and was given different answers.

Unfortunately, those attorneys had the benefit of reading the agreement, we do not. We need to see the agreement to determine if it is binding or not.
