Legal Question in Immigration Law in North Carolina

A Canadian wants to marry a US citizen but works out of the country for 6 months of the year. What is needed for them to marry? Is a green card required if a person does not live in the U.S. greater than 6 months a year?

I am not sure of what you mean by "what is needed for them to marry" but you simply just need to go get married. The spouse does need a greencard if he/she intends to live in the U.S. for the other 6 months because a visitor's visa isn't intended for that purpose.
