Legal Question in Immigration Law in North Carolina
If my Girl Friend of four years has been put on a deportation list after her political asylum has been denied, can we get married and push for her residency of citizenship. We have been high school sweethearts from our freshman to senior year with all the proof in the world that we have been in this loving relationship for the duration of our high school years. If it helps any I am also Enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and I leave for Parris Island July 11th 2011. If my military status helps we can also postpone the wedding till I get back.

You are able to marry her before you are deployed if you'd like. If you need assistance, please contact me at 1-800-408-5818 or email me at [email protected]
Depending on how she entered the U.S. and your citizenship status, she should be able to adjust status (assuming otherwise eligible). Your military duty will serve the case well in the discretionary determination. We handle these cases in the Charlotte court all of the time.
