Legal Question in Immigration Law in North Carolina

my ex husband received a green card and eventual citizenship when we were married. We divorced after 12 years. I am now engaged to another foreign national, once married could I help them apply for their green card as well or would I be prohibited because of the assistance I gave my first husband?

As long as you are a U.S. citizen, you can petition your new spouse.

USCIS may question you about your former marriage, just to make sure that you are not marrying foreign nationals and petitioning them for a fee (i.e., fraud).

Based on the limited facts you have presented, I do not foresee a problem.
