Legal Question in Immigration Law in North Carolina

I-751

I filed I-751 since 2006 and I was denied based on a mistake made by our landlord. the landord contacted them about the mistake but they have not responded back. They stamp my passport every year for work authorization and travelling. Everytime I visit they tell me my case has been moved to the court. My lawyer has called several time with my alien number but nothing was ound.I was married to my wife for seven years and now we are divorced due to hardship on my part. What should I do?

You should consider having another attorney look at your case. If your case was referred to the immigration court, you have rights that need protecting. If you are getting divorced, you may need to file a new I-751 with a waiver of the joint filing requirement. There is much work to be done on this case. Please speak with another attorney.
