Legal Question in Immigration Law in North Carolina
I have a question for you Sir about GC and immigration , me and my wife filed joint i751 , i moved from her house 4 months before we filed together , she wanted to help me , so we gethered the papers work and evidences and she signed the form i751 , however in the day i was suppose to file , she change her mind and she told me that she is not going to help me anymore and she is going to divorce me , so the next day i sent my application to vermont center , i am still waiting for the 1st NOA , now she is asking me to go to the post office to change my address so i dont bother her going to her mailbox everytime ., she also told me that she will send my mail back to the post office , I am afraid she will do that and i end up not getting my immigration notes and documents , my question is , do i contact the USCIS and tell them that i have a new address so i receive my mail without any worries ? will that effect me > will they think we are not living together and for that they call us for interview ? do i wait to see if my case get approved or i have to contact them and tell they we are separated and getting divorce ? i live in noth Carolina and in order to get divorce couple must be separated for one full year . so do i wait and see what happens or i let them know that we are separated ? thank you for your time.

You have some issues with this case and should seek counsel immediately. Changing your address is one issue, the second issue is why you haven't received a receipt notice as of yet and third is the manner in which you filed may not have fully protected your rights. Should your751 be denied, for whatever reason, CIS will initiate removal proceedings against you. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
