Legal Question in Insurance Law in North Carolina
Auto accident
My child wrecked her friend's SUV and it was considered totally and the Insurance paid $5600. Can the family sue me for what they consider to be the difference in the value of the car? No one was charged in the accident.

Re: Auto accident
Generally speaking, yes, they can sue your child for the difference in value following the repairs. They probably do not have a claim against you.
