Car accident
My son was in accident, rear ended someone, they are saying they are injured and he only has liability insurance. He is 18. They are suing him now, he has no assets except for a old vehicle. What can they sue for?

He should notify his insurance company of this immediately, if he has not done so already. Normally the other side will only want his insurance proceeds; but, theoretically, they could go after his assets (if any), if the damages exceed the limits of the policy. Some property can be protected from collection; and there is a good chance that he could protect the car. Your insurance company will hire an attorney to represent him, and you can discuss these issues further with that attorney, or with an attorney of your choosing.
