Legal Question in Insurance Law in North Carolina
Insurance laws
I am a pizza delivery driver. I recently was struck by a deer while on a delivery. I am wondering if the restaurant I work for is responsible for the damages since I was on the clock when the deer ran into me.

Re: Insurance laws
If you are an employee (and not an independent contractor), then you probably are entitled to workers compensation coverage. This will cover your medical bills, possibly some of your wage loss (if any), and also might pay if you have a permanent injury. You also might have "medical payments" coverage under your own automobile policy. You may of course want to meet with an attorney to discuss these issues further.
