Legal Question in Employment Law in North Carolina

I have an employment contract where my hourly wage, responsibilities, etc., are clearly set out. It also states that it is an at will contract for the employer as well as the employee.

Yesterday, my employer brought me a new contract "option" saying that he could simply trade it out in place of my contract without my consent. I do not like the new option and will not agree to it. Is it true that he can simply impose the new rules without my agreement?

He can if the previous contract says that he can. Also, I doubt the enforceability of a contract that states that employment is at will...that defeats the purpose of the contract.
