If you have already appealed and there is a set date for the hearing, you should make sure all documents that you plan to use are sent to both the hearing officer and the employer. Any witnesses that has any information about why you are not working wit your former employer must be named as a witness and their phone numbers must be provided. If your hearing is over the phone, those witnesses will be called on the day/time of the hearing, so talk with them first.

The hearing is similar to a trial, but it is over the phone.

You can have your own attorney represent you at the hearing. Your employer may have an attorney.

If you do not win at the hearing level, it is very difficult to win at the next level. No evidence or witnesses can testify at the next level of appeal, if you do not win the hearing.

You should contact an attorney who deals with unemployment law. I would be more than happy to chat with you about it.
