Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in North Carolina

If I have a judgment against me for not paying rent or damages, and I had three others roommates who signed the lease, (I'm not responsible for all of it) how do I only pay my part?

Unfortunately, judgments in North Carolina are considered joint and severaly liable against all Defendants. This means to have the judgment removed as to you, all of it must be paid...you can't pay a portion of it and get your name off of the judgment unfortunately.
