Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in North Carolina

my landlord sold the house we rent the new owners would like us out in 2 weeks but our lease is not up till april, old landlord said they would give us back our deposit and the rent we paid for this month if we would leave in 2 weeks but that money will not cover finding us another place can we stay our ask for more money to move

You can do either. You lease is still in full effect until it ends. Just be prepared to move then. Also, you need to make sure you do NOTHING to violate the lease, as they will be looking for a reason to evict you.

On the other hand, this situation could become very hostile very quick. You do have the right to ask for more money to leave.
