Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in North Carolina
Lease Agreement
I rented my house, on a term lease of 6 months. I now need to break the lease. On what grounds can I break it within the law. It has nothing to do with the tenant, I need to break it for personal reasons. The lease is just one I copied from the Landlord's and Tenants book from the library.
Thank You

Re: Lease Agreement
I would want to review the lease, even if it is from a form book. If the tenant is not in breach, you might be liable for moving expenses and other costs if you try to break the lease. If you go to court, viction will be ordered if the tenant is not in breach, short of compelling grounds: sale of property, condemnation. Call or email for further assistance.
