Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in North Carolina
I live in n.c. I signed a year lease with the managament company well yesterday a different company called and said they've taken over the property and I need to now pay them and enter into a new lease. I'm wondering if I have to sign this new lease even though there is 9 months left on my old lease

You do not need to sign a new lease until and unless you want to renew.
