Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in North Carolina
My mother just passed away. Six of her children now own the house. Can a lessee also be a lessor if we make a lease agreement with one of the children ?

A lessee can not be a lessor in the traditional sense. A lessee is a tenant. A Lessor is a landlord. Only an owner can be a landlord. A tenant can sublet, but is not truly a landlord.
