Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in North Carolina
I am moving from my apartment at the end of my lease. I will be all paid up to the end of my lease. The apartment management are saying that I must pay and extra months rent for not giving them a 60 day notice. I gave them a 30 day notice. Plus they are charging me 770.00 for the month when I have been paying 500.00 a month. Can they do this . I only signed a lease for one year and my lease is up

You need to read your lease carefully. Most likely it indicates you are supposed to give 60 days notice or it will convert to month to month.
