Re: Discussing medical condition

By statute, any communication between a patient and his/her

physician regarding the patient's medical condition, is

confidential. The statute imposes no penalty for violation.

However, if you can prove actual damages (denial of job,

insurance, etc.) you may be able to sue the offending doctor.

Absent that, I suggest you file a complaint with the N. C.

Board of Medical Examiners in Raleigh. They will send you the

necessary forms.

Our firm's practice focuses on serious personal injury and

wrongful death claims, including malpractice, product liability

and inadequate security. If you have need of a personal injury lawyer

don't hesitate to contact us.
