Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in North Carolina

can you explain to me , if you sign the blue form that was given out by the drug settlement with the american home products corporation, are you signing your privledges to file a lawsuit at a later date.

i had taken phen-phen for about 2 years and recently had an echocardigram that showed no abnormalties, but have been told that it may show up at a later date.

if it does show up that i do have damage to my heart then i would like my privledge to file a suit.
