Legal Question in Military Law in North Carolina
I was brought back on active duty, a day before my retirement date, pending an investigation. Is court martial a possibility?

Yes, that is a very real possibility. The only reason you can be held past your normal release date would be if there is an investigation with the possibility of a court-martial. I think a court would be very likely assuming their investigation can build a case. You should anticipate a trial and start preparing for one now. Make sure you have a good attorney who will fight for you.
