Legal Question in Personal Injury in North Carolina
I was involved in an accident where I collided with a person who ran a stop sign. We collided almost head-on and I sustained a severed lower lumbar disc and damaged sciotic nerves. How much is this case worth? Am I injured for the rest of my life.

Those injuries sound serious, and you may have permanent injuries. Only your doctor can say whether you are injured for the rest of your life. The value of your case depends on your medical expenses, lost earnings, and the pain and limitations imposed by the accident. There is no way to value your case without much more information (including whether you have reached maximum medical improvement, and whether you have a permanent impairment or disability). You should probably consult with an attorney and provide him or her with more information to assess your case.
To determine whether or not someone is permanently injured is impossible to do via an email. Much, Much more information is required including all medical records and doctors' opinions as to the permanency of your injury and the likelihood of any recovery.
Value depends on a number of factors as well, including, Medical expenses, Past and Future Lost Wages, Pain and Suffering, whether or not there might be punitive damages available (for example if the person that hit you is also convicted of DWI at the time of the collision),
You should absolutely consult with an attorney before accepting any offer that any insurance company may make you. Your interests and the Insurance company's are not the same.
