Pursuing a matter

How long does a person have to pursue a matter when the company's insurance company hasn't responded and the incident happened 5 weeks earlier?

The answer to this question depends on the nature of the dispute. The basic statute of limitations for a claim for negligence and for a claim for breach of contract is three years.
