Legal Question in Personal Injury in North Carolina
I received a settlement figure from the other parties insurance which included a $5050 pain and suffering for a C2 fracture in an auto accident. Medical bills were about $14K. I was out of work for 1 month, however I couldn't drive for 3 months. I was able to work from home. I am just wondering if that is a decent figure for North Carolina. The other drive was at 100% fault.

You clearly need an attorney. Based on your description $5050 isn't enough - anywhere! In fact it is likely a downright insulting offer. It doesn't work for every case but a good general rule of thumb for the amount you get is 3 to 4 times the medical bills - so you should be looking at $42,000 to $56,000 and with a neck fracture likely even more. Also, you need to make sure there has been as full a recovery as possible. And of course the other driver was 100% at fault. In NC, had you been even 1% at fault - you'd be getting nothing.
