Legal Question in Personal Injury in North Carolina

On Sunday night my husband and I were rearended. My husband (driver) was at a dead stop and a women hit us going aprox 60mph. She totalled our F150 and gave us SEVERE whiplash. THANK GOD our 6 month old baby was ok. But now their insuance is only offering me 750 for pain and suffering and then medical bills. Is that resonable? They have not made an offer for my husband, but it will be more. They said it is a small amount because I'm "only a homemaker".

I would strongly suggest that you speak with an attorney in your area that could advise you as to your possible courses of action. Insurance companies frequently try to settle a claim right after an accident, in exchange for a full release of future claims. One of the reasons that they do so is because they know that you don't yet have a clear picture as to what your future diagnosis and medical bills may be. But, once you have signed the release any future medical bills are your responsibility and no longer theirs. There are also numerous factors that can affect the settlement value of your claim.

Find an attorney that will give you a free consultation. Good Luck.
