legal definition
I was injured in an auto crash the 1st of Sept. Other driver was cited and his insurance co. has accepted full liability for my totaled car and medical. I received a broken lower jaw, a broken tailbone in this accident along with a closed head injury. I was taken by ambulance to area hospital. So far i have received 4 root canals and an in need of a cap on a differnet tooth all caused by wreck. Driver side airbag DID NOT deploy but passenger side did. Driver seatbelt did lock lock but passenger side did. This is the cause of my hitting steering wheel....I was driving a 2004 (bought new).....My question is what is the definition of a major car wreck compared to a minor car wreck? My neuroligist has taken me out of work until Feb.09, I am suffering from post concussion stress....the reason for the question was that I was told that there is a threshold figure that will determine if the accident was major or minor. Re: legal definition
There is actually no such distinction in North Carolina. If there were, then based on your injuries and the total damage to the vehicle, then yours would qualify as major (and not minor).
