Legal Question in Real Estate Law in North Carolina
adding husbands name to deed
I have a condo. My husband and I are both on the loan but he is not on the deed because it was a like/kind exchange with property I owned before we married. I want him on the deed with me. There is a mortgage for 7 more years. HOw can I simply accomplish this?

Re: adding husbands name to deed
You can hire an attorney to prepare a deed - it will likely cost between $75-$100. That is to prepare a deed without any advice as to the consequences. Alternatively, you may want to see an estate planning attorney to discuss wills, property, etc. and figure out how to best accomplish your goals.
