Legal Question in Real Estate Law in North Carolina
we bought a house for cash . a lawyer did the paper work and we got the deed.now we were just served with forecloser papers because the person we bought the house from still owed money on the house.what can we do ?

You will need to consult with an attorney and bring all your paperwork from the closing. If you have a title insurance policy, then you need to contact the title insurance company immediately and make a claim. Otherwise, you may have a malpractice claim depending on the facts.
