Legal Question in Real Estate Law in North Carolina

I bought my Mom's house and live in it with her. She now has dementia. i found a will of hers where she left me the house if pay my brother 5,000 dollars. I already own the house. What does this mean now?

If your mom made a will to divest the home. Then she sold it to you prior to her death. When this happens that portion fot he will becomes invalid as the home no longer exists as far as the will is concerned.
