Legal Question in Real Estate Law in North Carolina

My cousin signed a permit as owner of property held in trust for my Mother and her Sister. He went in and did structural changes to a 150 year old home . Now we have a suit already pending . I would like to know what criminal charges he could also face ?

Without knowing more its not possible to say. I will say that most likely he would face none, based on the limited facts you listed. You didn't mention if he is the trustee or not. If he is the trustee he most likely has a wide breadth of powers to act "in the benefit" of the beneficiaries of the trust.
