general warranty deed

mom is transferring land to me. ordered general warranty deed form, but need to find out how to describe the land. is there some way for me to do this or do i have to get a lawyer anyway?

I would strongly recommend you have a lawyer draft the deed. In fact, I would recommend to your mom that she consult an estate planning attorney before she transfers land to explain what she is trying to accomplish and learn what some unintended consequences may be.
