Legal Question in Real Estate Law in North Carolina

I would like to know what kind of attorney I need to search for in my current situation. My husband and I have been trying to close on a house since January this year. We gave all the information they needed, we were approved by both the owner(HUD foreclosure property), and our mortgage company. They gave us a closing date of March 18th but it never happened. The bank kept asking for more and more information every week. This has gone on up to this past week, and now all of a sudden we called about the house and someone other than who we've been dealing with told us the house is under contract! Now, this is after we were approved and paid for several things out of pocket such as: septic inspection, septic emptying, structural engineer inspection, termites inspections, etc. Also, the realtor gave us the lockbox code so we could begin fixing the inside up. We poored thousands into fixing it up and now they turn around and sell it to someone else?!? Basically, I would like to know if one, I have a case, and two, what kind of firm I would contact. Thank you for your help!!!

Jeff Rosner Rosner Law Firm P.A.

I would consult a real estate attorney that practices litigation in the county where the property is located.
