Legal Question in Real Estate Law in North Carolina
If land is deeded to multiple children with the parent having lifetime rights, could the land be divided and timber on the land be sold while the parent still lives? Would this be possible if one child was uncooperative?

First, the parents would have to agree as they have the right tot he property until they pass. Then if one spouse does disagree after the parents agree or pas, then a partition sale would be required to divide.
