Land Sale

I own ahome in Rowan County and currently have a renter in the home. I have had an extremely good offer to buy the home and would like to sale. Is it possible to give the tenenat notice and then sale the home?

If the tenant is in your home in CA, and the tenant is month-to-month, you may serve a 30-day notice to quit. If the tenant doesn't quit, then you'd have to bring an unlawful detainer lawsuit. If you need the tenant out sooner, you might consider paying the tenant a reasonable amount for earlier termination. Often, a home purchaser will require that the home be vacant. You might think about keeping the tenant in place so that you can continue having income until you have an offer and acceptance on the sale.
