Legal Question in Real Estate Law in North Carolina

During a previous refinance of our home, I suspect that my husband has had me sign a document possibly to relinquish any right to claim the proptery. My name is on the deed and tax information. Is this possible? All I know for sure is that I signed a paper he did not sign. Something he said in a recent argument makes he think he has tricked me in some way. He stated "it has already cost you, you just don't know it yet". Out of the hundreds of papers that you sign at a closing, not everyone reads everything. If a document was mis-represented and I signed something, would it be binding? How do I find out?

contact an attorney. I don't know what you signed but you could check the register of deeds site to determine some things. You can also contact the closing attorney and see about getting a copy of the papers you signed.
